Maintaining Relevance
As the title of this entry suggests, one of the topics of interest for professionals on both sides of the business is how to stay relevant--by tracking the latest conversations as well as by participating in them.
Of course, over the past few months we have devoted a lot of time and energy into better understanding and in turn, better counseling clients on how to tackle the blogosphere. Admittedly, we're doing a pretty poor job of paying attention to our own blog--so this is an acknowledgment that we intend to start updating more regularly.
Now, this speaks directly to one of the most obvious (yet difficult to practice) aspects of starting a blog. Personally, professionally, etc. it is a lot easier to read and track blogs and news sources with RSS, meme-aggregators, and feedreaders (today's Valleywag has a *very* helpful post highlighting the basic tools and tips for doing so efficiently) than it is to actually get in the habit of regularly posting and even simply making the effort to comment on others' entries.
But we will be trying!
